🍂 As the days grow shorter and the air turns cooler, autumn brings its beautiful colours to the trees and bushes. One thing about being a MeGA volunteer is that you won't miss this seasonal change. Autumn is a chance to look back on what we’ve accomplished. Please take a moment to remember the flowers,  colours of summer, the smiles, and the comments of visitors to the Memorial Gardens we've helped cultivate. Work now starts on getting everything ready for Spring next year.

The wild garden has had many interesting visitors this past month. A lot of 7 and 5 spotted ladybirds, which is a surprise and learn for me, as I didn’t realise there were differences. A Whirligig Beetle, Pond Skaters, Dragon Flies, Common Carder Bees,  and a Wool Carder Bee. Plenty to look up on the internet. If that wasn’t enough, there was a 10 minute recording taken in the Wild Garden that caught the sounds of a Jay, Robin, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Siskin, Wren and Chiffchaff.

After the gardening, we all look forward to the coffee and cake. Just a big thank you to all the cake makers. If anyone wishes to have a recipe published on the blog, send it to me or give it to me on a Monday.

Till next month, happy gardening

Some pictures of our wonderful MeGA crew.
