This Month in The Gardens

Hi all, another year starts with a dismal, dull and damp January, but we have had record numbers of members turn out for this month’s Monday sessions, thank you all. Of course, the delicious cakes and the exceptional coffee helps.

This month, we had the AGM, and the guest speaker was Sophia Kourpas, Green Space Development Officer. Sophia told us about plans for the coming year around the embankment and gardens. Sophia also took questions from members.

Councillor Michael Edwards attended and gave an update on what is being done around the Meadows. Mike also took questions from members.

Matt, who has now been promoted, so we will not see him around the gardens as much, gave a very warm thank-you to MeGA and expressed his appreciation for the organisation and for being a true example of a volunteer working group.

Thank you to Liz and Gina for organising, to the committee for all the work they do, and for the fundraising for new tools and plants.
